It’s pretty common that Chinese companies make their own copy of European and American cars and motorcycles. The newest copy comes from Chinese scooter manufacturer Neco. They revive the 1959 Vespa N model under the name Neco Italia, which is not just about vintage, the model features automativ transmission and a four-stroke 50cc or 125cc engine.
Both engines are air-cooled and have electronic ignition. The Neco has two storage spaces, one behind the front of the scooter and not under the seat. The Neco is not available in Italy but is on sale in France for €1,930 euros for the 50cc version and €2,399 euros for the 125cc version. The Chinese company plans an electric version called the Eco Neco which takes on the design of the current Vespa LX.
