The Nomad Tent Company have just announced the launch of the Ténéré Expedition Tent, an innovative concept inspired by the name of Yamaha’s new adventure bike. The tent is a three-season shelter for two persons and their motorcycle. “I want to stand up to change my clothes, I want a space to work on my bike. No tent out there offered me these advantages, so I built my own,” stated Kevin Muggleton, President and Founder of the Nomad Tent Company.
The tent also comes with a unique set up model, which includes mixed pole sleeves and clips for fast speed setup and an outer sheet that erects the inner tent out. Frame design creates nearly vertical inner tent walls; the result is spacious, area-wide headroom, enough to stand fully inside tent. Adventure motorcycle bay is designed to accommodate a full size adventure tourer with panniers. Hooped pole configuration stands up under high winds and creates an impressively roomy interior. Flow-through venting circulates air from one end of the tent to the other, ideal in hot climates. Rectangular floor plan optimizes usable space and allows comfortable sleeping, space for a queen size air bed. “A good night’s sleep isn’t just important when you are traveling the world by motorcycle, it’s essential. We’ve been soaked through at the end of a long ride with many days, weeks or even months ahead of us on the bike. We’ve tossed and turned in cramped tents, laid like sardines in tight bivi bags, cracked our heads on cold helmets and cuddled with boots that could walk by themselves. Every tent is a compromise. That is until now,” the company states.
The Ténéré tent weighs only 13 pounds when packed and is priced at $399.
