You love cruisers but from time to time you want more speed and you can’t afford two motorcycles? Fred Krugger found a pretty exciting solution for this problem. He built a motorcycle that morphs from cruiser to racer at the push of a button. His creation, the V-Rod powered Veon won the 2010 World Championship of Custom Bike Building.
The motorcycle is without doubt a unique machine with its adjustable frame, transforming from cruiser to racer by altering geometry at several points. For the CAD work and engineering for the frame was Mark van der Kwaak responsible, while Fred Krugger built the first prototype and designed the sheetmetal, pipes and dual footcontrols. The Veon has two sets of foot controls which enables the bike to transform from a low, feet forward cruiser via a classic, upright riding position to a sportier configuration with higher ground clearance and a more agressive riding position. The transition may be activated at stand-still or in-flight and it takes only five seconds.
