Finally breaking cover officially, the Japanese brand revealed the 2011 ZX-10R at Intermot show in Cologne. 2010 was an interesting year in the superbike segment, the BMW S1000 RR arrived with a lot of noise. Now, it’s Kawas’ turn. The numbers suggest the new ZX-10R will be a monster with its 200hp at the crank power figure (210hp with ram air) and 436.6lbs curb weight. Unfortunately, the US market will get only 190hp for emissions.
Featuring a new engine, new frame and new suspension, Kawasaki’s newest litrebike flagship represents the first complete redesign since the Ninja ZX-10R’s debut in 2004, and offers a significant jump in base performance. Designed to enable a greater number of riders to experience the thrill of riding a superbike at the limit, the new Ninja ZX-10R is loaded with cutting-edge technology. New features like Kawasaki’s new race-type traction control system (S-KTRC) and supersport-grade ABS (KIBS) are there to assist riders explore the limit. The new Ninja has a prive tag of $13,799 MSRP in the US, the ABS costs plus $1000.
