The Swedish company introduced two new models – the SMS 4 Supermoto and the TE 125 enduro machine. The bikes, aimed at young fans, have race-bred looks and surprisingly high spec components. Both bikes have the same chassis and engine, the biggest difference is the tire size – the SMS 4 features 17-coll tires, while the TE125 has 21-coll front wheel and 18-coll rear wheel. The chassis of the two new models is a monobeam in Cr-Mo steel with a circular cross section and rear seat rail.
At the heart of the machine is a single-cylinder, 125cc, 4-stroke engine which delivers 15hp at 9000rpm and 12Nm at 8000rpm. The engine has a Keihin 29mm carburettor, electric ignition and is rated EU3. Both bikes have 6 gears, the lubrication is wet sump , the exhaust system has been specially designed for the two different versions. The guys at Husqvarna payed attention to details, quality of construction. The SMS 4 has a price tag of $5750.
