French manufacturer Peugeot has recently added a new mid-range scooter to its lineup. The Citystar 125 replaces the Elystar 125 model and will join the Tweet, LXR, Geopolis, Vivacity, Satelis and Sum-up in Peugeot’s scooter range. The new Citystar is powered by a single cylinder four-stroke engine which features direct injection and water cooling. The engine delivers 13,5hp and 12Nm of torque. The scooter has a top speed of 65mph (105 km/h).
In addition to that, the CityStar 125 follows the standards Euro 3 emitting only 73 grams of CO2/km. Fuel consumption is 67mpg (3,5 l/100km), and with a fuel tank of 2.5 gallons (9,5 liters), that means a range of almost 160 miles (260 km). The scooter can transport two people in a comfortable manner and has a 35 litre under seat storage capacity. The new Citystar 125 will become available from the first quarter of 2011 and will have a price tag of $4,100 (€3,000).
