The bike, based on the CBR1000RR, features a fuel-injected four-cylinder 998cc powerplant tuned for loads of right-now power, single-sided swingarm with single-shock rear suspension, plus a wealth of new features that give it its own unique identity. Husqvarna unveiled today the Mille 3 Concept – a lightweight, V3-powered cruiser/sportsbike. The bike, which appears to be a crazy cross between a tracker, a cruiser and a sportsbike, is powered by a 930cc V-triple (one in two cylinders, one vertical cylinder) engine. Husqvarna says, "Emotion is irrational, curiosity is a gift, and anti-conformism is innate. Honda has further listened to customers’ desires in the middle-weight class and reintroduced an all-new version of the much-loved CBR600F. In 1987, Honda defined the middleweight sportsbike category with the launch of the CBR600F-H, a bike renowned for its ability to satisfy most riders’ needs, being both sporty in feel and practical in nature. This machine was developed over the years with a number of different ‘versions’ right up to the CBR600F Sport, although the ‘F’ models ceased production in 2006 as customer focus turned more towards the CBR600RR territory. Aprilia will import a new small displacement sportsbike to the U.S. The machine, called the RS4 125 replaces the 125 and features a 125cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder engine. The engine is fuel-injected and has 4 valves and double overhead camshaft valve actuation system. The Italian engineers coupled the engine with a six-speed gearbox. The RS4 has a twin-spar aluminium frame with a 41mm inverted front fork and a shock absorber out back. Weight is 264 lbs with a full 3.8 gallon tank of gas. Recent years have seen radical changes in the world of individual mobility, specifically in the conurbations, and the number of registrations has rocketed for virtually all individual transport concepts. However, the space available to traffic has not grown to the same extent, so individual mobility must come to terms with the new circumstances. KTM introduced its new 350 EXC-F Factory, a newly developed factory bike claims no less than to be the most sophisticated and best four stroke racing Enduro ever. By limiting itself to a 350 cc capacity, KTM intends to transfer the sensational success of the 350 SX-F in the Motocross World Championship to the Enduro segment. The basic tenet of combining the low weight of a 250 with the power of a 450 will give the 350 EXC-F the edge. Combining massive performance with awesome agility makes for efficient, energy-saving rideability, which is at least as important in Enduro competitions as it is in Motocross races. The Japanese brand has finally unveiled its new middleweight adventure bike, the Crossrunner. The machine is fitted with a 782cc V4 engine which delivers 102hp and 54 lbs-ft of torque. „The Crossrunner represents the best aspects of two separate biking genres: the flexibility and exciting attitude of a naked performance machine with the upright riding position and rugged appearance of an adventure bike,” says a press release from Honda. The new MV Agusta – the anticipated F3 – is finally out. The Italian manifacturer says the F3 is the most technologically advanced 600cc motorcycle ever produced. Thebike features a whole range of electronics – ride-by-wire with multi maps, traction control. The bike has an advanced frame which incorporates a mix of steel tubing and aluminium side plates that wrap around the ultra compact engine. Aprilia revealed the new Tuono V4 R APRC – a semi-naked musclebike based around the RSV4 superbike. The bike comes with the Aprilia Performance Rider Control package, which includes traction control, anti-lock brakes, wheelie control, launch control, quick-shifter, and rider-selectable driving modes to the naked V4. The bike features a 1000cc 65-degree V4 engine which delivers 162hp at 11,000rpm and 79.4lbs.-ft. at 9,000rpm, this is 7hp more than the rival Ducati Streetfighter has. Read the full article »
