Two years ago, a Subaru WRX-powered motorcycle made the internet rounds. But that was just the first concept of non-Subaru endorsed designer Ian McElroy. Since then, Ian created another concept powered by a diesel engine. Now, you can see the third bike, called the Kickboxer Diesel AWD Concept. According to Spanish motorcycle magazine Soloscooter, BMW will launch two brand new maxi scooters in November. The information comes from Hermann Bohrer, VP of BMW. Bohrer said in an interview, BMW Motorrad will reveal two maxi scooters at EICMA motorcycle show in Milan in November and they will be on sale in 2012. Rumours suggest that the two scooters will be closely related to the Concept C. BMW’s new scooters will most likely compete with the Suzuki Burgman and Yamaha T-Max. Read the full article »

Along with the new Gold Wing, Honda’s Foreman line of ATV’s comes with a host of performance upgrades for 2012. The ATV is powered by a new, 475cc, single-cylinder OHV four-stroke engine with fuel injection. Besides, the FourTrax’s chassis has been redesigned, featuring lighter suspension system and high-quality shock. Yamaha Factory Racing unveiled its new livery today, a day in advance of testing tomorrow at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia. The team, which starts the season defending its third consecutive triple crown victory, fields a new rider in 2010 Rookie of the Year Ben Spies alongside the defending World Champion Jorge Lorenzo. What you can see here is the Erik Buell Racing 1190RS Carbon Edition. The bike goes into production this year but don’t get too excited because only 100 or so units will be sold to help get the 1190RS homologated for racing purposes. As the name suggests the 1190RS Carbon Edition features premium materials such as carbon fibre and magnesium. The hand-built machine will most likely appear at Daytona Bike Week in March but other sources say that Buell would bring it to Indianapolis Dealer Expo this weekend. Read the full article »

American Honda Motor Company announced today the 2012 Gold Wing. The 2012 bike has redesigned fairing with extra wind protection, larger saddlebags, revised suspension settings front and rear for a better ride and more comfort, re-shaped taillight, new wheels, and updated instrumentation. The first opportunity to view the new Honda will be at the International Motorcycle Show in Greenville, South Carolina, February 25-27 and Daytona Bike Week in Daytona Beach, Florida, March 5-12. The Swedish manufacturer launched its newest supermoto, the 2011 SMR 511. The design of the new SMR 511 outstrips that of other supermotard models and stands out immediately. The new design makes maintenance easier as the air filter, rear shock and throttle body can all be accessed with ease. Piaggio introduced its revolutionary three-wheeler MP3 maxi scooter back in 2006, and the bike proved that this unconventional formula with two independent front wheels is working: since its launch more than 80,000 MP3’s have been sold all over the world.
