Japanese manufacturer Suzuki announced the sales and profit results for the first nine month of 2010. The company increased its sales by an encouraging 6.1% despite continued severe market condition. This means Suzuki sold 975,000 units globally in the nine month ended Dec. 31 2010. Meanwhile, revenue totaled $2.26 billion compared to the $2.37 billion of 2009. The manufacturer reported a total loss of $85.7 million on account of the continued sales slowdown of large-size motorcycles for Europe and US.
However, there is some good news for Suzuki. The company sold 6,000 units in the third quarter of 2010, an increase from the 3,000 units sold in the same quarter of 2009. The company will make further efforts for improvement in every aspect, this means the manufacturer could offer more street models in the North American market in 2011.
