After making its North American premiere at the International Motor Show in New York in January, Can-Am took the wraps off the Spyder Roadster Hybrid in Geneva, too. The Spyder is a three-wheeled motorcycle that utilizes a single drive wheel out back with two other wheels up front. The Concept is powered by a 998cc Rotax engine delivering 106hp and an electric motor. The company claims that the plug-in hybrid is 50% more fuel-efficient than the current Can-Am Spyder Roadster. After several teaser photos, Paul Jr. Designs, the company owned by Paul Teutul Jr. finally revealed the Faro bike. The custom machine was built by Paul Jr., who has partnered with Renegade Wheels. According to the announcement, Paul Jr. will use the wheels of Renegade on its future bikes. “As a new company we are only working with the best vendors in the industry. Valentino Rossi’s custom-painted Monaco motorhome is up for sale. The Monaco Dynasty Bishop IV is one hell of an RV, eight persons can sleep in it and it’s 11.94 meter long. The Dynasty features a 435hp engine and weighs 20 tonnes. It has a 568 liter fuel tank which means one refill will cost you $1,200. As final preparations for the massive “Ducati MotoGP Night” are made ready for the city-centre event on the evening of Friday, 4 March, Ducati reveal two new Monster Art colour schemes dedicated to Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi. First introduced in 2009, the innovative Monster Art project offered an additional range of colours to the standard factory options with a collection called “Colour Therapy”, while in 2010 the introduction of the “Logomania” collection celebrated 50 years of historic Ducati logo styles. Italian motorcycle magazine Motosprint made an exclusive interview with Claudio Domenicali, Ducati’s general director. Domenicali revealed that the board of directors is seriosly thinking of deveoping two new models. The first one is a scrambler style two-wheeler, while the second is a maxi scooter. Ever felt like you’re the only sane person on the road? Dubliner Rob Brannigan shot a video about the dangers faced by bikers every day. Bus drivers not looking, people texting on mobiles, women applying their make-up etc. Brannigen said to MCN: “There were 3 main motivations for shooting the video: firstly, I nearly got taken out at the first clip junction by a red light jumper. Estonian company Renard released the first photos of their Grand Tourer last Summer. Now, we have two more pictures of the bike. The Renard Grand Tourer prototype is a sporty power cruiser, and features ultra-light composite unibody which weighs only 11 kg. The carbon-fibre monocoque body is reinforced with Kevlar to make it resistant to impact and vibration. Mansory is a German aftermarket tuning company that specializes in the modification of high-end cars. The firm has now come up with a custom motorcycle that debuted today at the Geneva Motor Show. Carbon fibre decorates the impressive-looking cruiser while the front mask, bug spoiler, seat module, primary shield and silencer as well as the applications on the fuel tank, the frame, fork, wheel rims and airbox all originate from the Mansory factory.
