Yamaha celebrates milestone at Bikers’ Classics

The 2011 edition of the Bikers’ Classics event will take place from 1st-3rd July at the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium and Yamaha will be there to take and enjoy another proud step in celebration of their 50th year of Grand Prix racing. The Yamaha Classic Racing Team will appear in all its glory with 21 fantastic historic Yamaha racing machines from 50cc up to 750cc two-strokes, that will be steered on the hallowed curves by former GP stars like Steve Baker, Rod Gould, Phil Read, Giacomo Agostini, Johnny Cecotto and Chas Mortimer, to name but a few. Read the full article »

2011 Yamaha T-Max WGP replica revealed

In 2011, Yamaha is celebrating it's fiftieth year of GP racing with a special paint job that all of their MotoGP teams will be using for the Assen and Laguna Seca rounds, but that’s not everything. The Japanese manufacturer also revealed a special T-Max maxi scooter which will get the special GP livery paint job. Unfortunately, the bike will only be available in the Japanese domestic market. Ducati Monster gets the LeoVince makeover

For those Ducati Monster owners that only want to add pure Italian made products to their Ducati, then look no further. Top Italian performance exhaust manufacturers LeoVince have just released some new slip-on exhausts, called the LV-ONE, for the Monster. The casings special finish looks like titanium, the exhausts are all 'E' approved for road use, and finished off with their new techno-polymer tailcones. Read the full article »

Sketches of Terblanche Norton revealed

South African motorcycle designer Pierre Terblanche is noted for his work at Ducati (he designed bikes like the 999, Hypermotard, Supermono, Multistrada, and Moto Guzzi concept bikes), but he left the Italian manufacturer for Norton three months ago. 90 days was enough for Terblanche to draw some sketches of future Norton models. MCN reports that none of the sketches are confirmed for mass production. Read the full article »

Video: DKW Motorcycles production line 1927

During the late 1920s and 1930s, German brand DKW was the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer. Das kleine Wunder, or „The little wonder” was the name of the first two-stroke engine used in a DKW motorcycle. The V-twin produced 15 hp. On the promotional film clips, you can see the factory production line and the complete build of the two-stroke engine. 2012 KTM 350 SX-F and 450 SX-F revealed

Austrian company KTM took the wraps off the 2012 SX-F models, including the 350 SX-F and 450 SX-F. At the top of the SX line, the 450 SX-F features revised suspension, bodywork and wheels. The 450cc four-stroke has still a carburettor, but the clutch is new, it’s now available with three adjustable preload settings. The last major change is a new hydraulic master cylinder. The smaller sibling, the 350 SX-F features redesigned rear fender and white airbox. Read the full article »

Video: Ducati Diavel commercial and behind the scenes video

Rumors say that the Ducati Diavel is doing great in sales, but it’s really no surprise. The Italian “power cruiser” looks beautiful, its 1200cc V-twin is powerful, the bike has fully adjustable suspension, front and rear, meaning it’s one of the sportiest nakeds on the market, although it doesn’t have any near rivals. Now, Ducati released two videos about the bike. The first one is the new commercial of the Diavel, while the other shows you how much effort goes into a one-minute video spot. Deus Ex Machina Cafe Scorpio introduced

The flat track inspired Cafe Scorpio is the latest creation of Australian company Deus ex Machina. The bike started off in life as a Yamaha Scorpio 225, which after some love, care and grinding from the boys in the workshop, has taken on a new form. The machine features now polished aluminium alloy brake and clutch controls, Daytona rear shocks, custom exhaust and flashy hand grabbers. The bike is standing on Firestone tyres. Video: Casey Stoner on the 2012 MotoGP Honda prototype

Casey Stoner tested the 2012 Repsol Honda prototype in Jerez yesterday. “Everything has gone very well, very positive. It’s just nice to ride the 1000cc again, to feel the engine and the power,” said Stoner. “I had a lot of fun, I enjoyed the first day because everything we’ve tried seems to be working, so no complaints. The biggest disappointment is that Dani is not going be here to test as he is important to the development of this bike.
