KTM went to the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship in Lierneux, Belgium last weekend with the KTM Junior Race Service for 14 young riders from outside Europe. Being offered a fully supported service at Factory Racing level allowed the young competitors to concentrate completely on their races and have the maximum learning experience from the event.
Real professional race feeling
Riders signed up for the comprehensive service on a first come-first-served basis and enjoyed the use of race motorcycles, access to the KTM Service Truck, technical advice on engine and chassis from KTM factory technicians, “READY TO RACE” carburetor setting, WP suspension support, the availability for purchase of emergency spare parts and free air filters, servicing lubricants, liquids and fuel for the race motorcycle.
All-round support and talent spotting
Five-times World Champion Harry Everts and son Stefan Everts, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing MX2 Team Manager and 10-times World Champion were on hand to provide professional coaching, tips and advice to the riders. Naturally the Everts father-and-son duo were also on the lookout for new talent among the youngsters competing in Belgium. In addition, each of the young riders had their portrait on the KTM Service Truck and were all supplied with a catering service offering drinks, snacks and fruit.
