MV Agusta has now officially confirmed that 250 lucky buyers of the F4 RC will get their bikes later this year. The Italians have also released a bunch of pictures and technical specifications sheet of the 212hp bike. The hand-assembled, WSBK-spec F4 RC features lots of titanium, carbon-fibre, and magnesium parts. The special edition bike is also lighter than the standard F4. Forecasts by a research firm have revealed that the electric motorcycle industry is expected to achieve stable and continuous growth during the coming years. Battery costs will decrease in the next couple of years which makes the electric motorcycles and scooters more affordable. The market is led by China, where most of the world’s e-motorcycles and e-scooters are sold. According to Navigant Research, sales are set to reach around 5.3 million over the course of 2015. Yamaha Motor released two design concept trikes today, one for road use and the other for off-road. The design concepts are based on the twin front wheels leaning multi-wheel Tricity and are named 03GEN-f and 03GEN-x. The 03GEN-f is a sportier, more futuristic of the two, while the latter is designed with more an off-road theme. Yamaha has just revealed the Racer version of its magnificent XV950 or Star Bolt. The machine was inspired by Markus Walz’ El Raton Asesino, a bike that was created for the Yard Built competition. Features of the special edition Bolt include forged aluminium clip-on handlebars, new switchgear, rear-set footrests, cafe racer style single seat, new suspension and a lot more. China National Chemical Corp is set to buy into Pirelli, the world's fifth-largest tire maker for $7.7 billion or €7.1 billion. The deal will put the 143-year-old Italian company in Chinese hands. According to Reuters, the top shareholders of Pirelli agreed on Sunday. The offer will be launched at 15 euros per share, valuing the brand at 7.1 billion euros excluding net debt of almost 1 billion euros at the end of last year. Read the full article »

The new generation of motorcycle helmets with built-in GPS and head-up-display are just around the corner. But there’s a slight problem with the integrated helmets of Skully or Reevu & co. - they all look a bit expensive, costing up to US$1,500-2,000. Honda has just revealed the curios-looking Bulldog Concept at the 31st Osaka Motorcycle Show. According to the press release, the Bulldog Concept promotes a new world of leisure with motorcycles.
