BMW patents three-cylinder engines

BMW is known for its opposed cylinders sticking out of each sides of their bikes but that may change soon enough. The Bavarian manufacturer has just patented two different three-cylinder engines. According to press reports, the strange pushrod engines may be power a new cruiser model. Both engines have a bizarre W3-configuration that makes them very compact. Read the full article »

Honda CRF 250 Rally revealed

Honda has just announced that the CRF 250 Rally Concept will be revealed at the 31st Osaka Motorcycle Show 2015 this weekend. The concept bike is largely based on the CRF 250 L, and is powered by the same 249cc single-cylinder engine but the styling is a copy of the CRF 450 Rally. We can only hope that Honda will eventually build a production version of the model. Read the full article »

Daryl’s bike from The Walking Dead

Actor Norman Reedus, aka Daryl Dixon from AMC’s TV show The Walking Dead, has a new bike. The custom motorcycle was built by the team of Classified Moto and they created a machine that embodies both Reedus' personality and Daryl's character perfectly. 2015 KTM 390 Duke get minor updates

The naked range of KTM is hugely successful: the Austrians sell more Dukes than off-road models worldwide last year. The Duke 390 has also been a big success in many markets around the world and for the 2015 model year, the small naked bike with advanced technology and refined details will be available in the U.S. with an MSRP $4,999. Simson Schwalbe returns as a retro electric scooter

The Simson KR51 or widely known as the “Schwalbe” was an iconic scooter of East Germany during the communist era. It was produced between 1964 and 1986. Now, Govecs, a company that manufactures electric bikes, has decided to revive the bike with 100% electric propulsion. A prototype was already showed at last year’s EICMA and according to Govecs, the electric scooter goes into production in the second half of 2015. Read the full article »

2015 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide Ultra

After Harley revised its touring lineup for 2014 under the Project Rushmore, the CVO Road Glide went missing for one year. The new CVO returned with a new look for 2015, featuring better aerodynamics, fairing, new handlebars, upgraded chassis, and lots of accessories including a superb sound system. Skully AR-1: the helmet for the digital age

If you’re into motorcycle gadgets, you’ve probably heard of the Skully helmet. The Skully AR-1 basically packs a heads-up display, rear-facing camera and GPS navigation to keep motorcyclists safe. The San Francisco-based startup just nabbed $11 million in Series A funding, proving that a wearable computer can still excite investors, even after the failure of Google Glass. Read the full article »

Victory Magnum X-1: breaking the sound barrier

Victory has just announced the availability of a new special edition version of the Magnum luxury bagger. The bike, called the X-1 features a custom paint job, a blasting 200 watt sound system and other small treatments. The Magnum X-1, launched at the 2015 Daytona Bike Week, is priced at $24,499 and would be available at the Victory dealerships across the world in the next few weeks. Read the full article »

Moto Guzzi V7 Racer Verde Legnano SE revealed

Moto Guzzi announces a Special Edition that was exclusively developed in Mandello del Lario for the American fans of the brand. The bike pays tribute to the rare 1971 Telaio Rosso Moto Guzzi V7 Sport. It was given the fancy name,“Verde Legnano,” due to its lime green paint scheme. The Special Edition will be produced in a limited run of just 50 motorcycles and will be available only in North America, carrying a $10,999 price tag. Read the full article »
