Triumph added two new Tiger 800 models to expand the range to six with the XRt and XCa versions. Both models are an evolution of the well-known Tiger 800 XC that get a few visual and technical upgrades which set them apart from the standard bikes. The XRt is a bit closer to the sport-adventure category while the XCa is built for tougher off-roading. The two new Tigers will be available in dealers from June 2015.
Triumph has announced two new top-of-the-range additions to its Tiger 800 adventure bike portfolio – the XRt (T as in Touring) and XCa (A as in Adventure). Both of these two new models will feature new hand guards that offer more protection than the previous version, an additional power socket, centre stand, aluminium radiator guard, heated rider and passenger seat, GPS mounting kit, heated grips, auxiliary fog light kit, uprated alternator, aluminium pannier rails and a 3rd power socket.
The XRt version is more into the sport-adventure territory, it features cast wheels, fog lamps and tire pressure monitoring. Customers also can purchase an optional luggage system that can be fitted on the aluminium pannier rails. The 37-litre panniers are 1.1kg lighter than the Triumph Adventure Panniers and the 42-litre Expedition Top Box is 1.4kg lighter. Additional features include a GPS mounting kit.

The XCa is is built for tougher off-roading, it has the same upgraded alternator, heated seats and grips, aluminium pannier racks for accessory luggage systems, GPS mounting kit, and CNC machined foot rests. The engine is still the well-known 800cc three-cylinder unit that delivers 95hp at 9,250 rpm and 79 Nm of torque (58ft.lbs) at 7,850 rpm. Thanks to the 19-litre fuel tank, range is 430-440 km.
The Tiger 800 XRt will be available in either Crystal White or Intense Orange for only £10,499 on the road. As well as the items listed above, the XCt will also be fitted with an Adjustable Screen, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and CNC machined rear brake reservoir.
The Tiger 800 XCa will feature engine protection bars and CNC machined rider footrests as well as everything listed for both machines. The XCa will be available from only £10,999 on the road and you can choose from either Crystal White or Matt Khaki Green. Both models come with an unlimited mileage, two-year factory warranty, as do all new Triumph motorcycles.
