The University of Technology of Vienna (TU-Wien) has awarded the Ducati Multistrada 1200 S D|air with the prestigious prize named after Professor Ferdinand Porsche. This is the first time the honour, assigned every two years by the Viennese University for outstanding technological innovation in the automotive industry, has been awarded to a factory motorcycle. Royal Enfield unveiled a new limited edition Classic 500 motorcycle and exclusive riding gear which are inspired by the “despatch riders” of the two World Wars. The special Classic 500 bike will be sold in limited numbers and customers can buy the bike only online. CNC Racing’s wish is to offer the largest number of special components for Ducati bikes. For this reason, it has strived to make footrests for the Ducati Monster 821, Ducati Monster 1200 and 1200S, in both Sport and Touring versions. The two footrests, machined from solid in one bloc, differentiate because of the more comfortable housing for the passenger’s footrests obtained with an extension (Touring) rather than the pivoted version (Sport). Max Biaggi returns to World Superbike for two rounds in the saddle of the Aprilia RSV4 race bike. The WorldSBK Champion of 2010 and 2012 retired back in 2012 so that he can spend more time with his family.
