We have seen a lot of unusual motorcycle concepts but the latest creation of Belgian designer Bruno Delussu is a real killer. Inspired by Daniel Simon’s Cosmic Motors series, Delussu made this Snake Road motorcycle concept. The bike features a fiberglass body to house an internal combustion engine. Yamaha introduced its EC-03 electric scooter concept in 2009 at the EICMA show, and the bike is heading into serial production next spring. Here’s a promo video of the e-moped which features a 1.6 kW brushless DC motor, lithium-ion battery, drum brakes and a planetary gear transmission housed inside the rear wheel hub. The range is expected to be around 25 km (15 miles)on a single charge. Price will be around €2,400 ($3,300). Read the full article »

Oscar-winning English actor Jeremy Irons rides a BMW R1200GS enduro bike in Hungary. The popular actor, who usually rides a BMW R1200RT, is currently filming the television series „The Borgias” in the Central European country and wanted another bike to use during his stay in Budapest. “I like working in Hungary, but I haven’t had the chance yet to get to know the country by motorcycle. And who can create something like that? An artist of course, Barrend Massow Hemmes. He revealed that the basic idea behind his creation is inspired by one of his iconic company logo víz, bull, which had existed only on papers before. The 2011 ZX-10R features Kawasaki’s sport traction control, the S-KTRC. This system comes straight from the race track (MotoGP), and the manufacturer released a video now, which explains the difference between a normal traction control and the S-KTRC. The ZX-10R’s system constantly monitors the separate speeds of the front and rear wheels, engine RPM, throttle position, acceleration and other factors. Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has teamed up with French fashion house Hermes on the new VMAX concept bike. The unique machine features rich leather detailing added to thre seat, headlight cover, exhaust silencers, grips and mirrors. Everything non-mechanical on the bike is covered in a skipper Buffalo leather. The 180-year old French brand is not new to the world of motor powered vehicles, as they have already worked on cars and helicopters. Read the full article »

Anthony Graber who was driving his motorcycle at high speeds has had his felony wiretapping charges dropped. Graber was facing 16 years in prison for uploading a video of the entire incident to Youtube. This video shows an uncover Maryland State Police officer jumping out of an unmarked car with a gun in his hand, ordering Graber off his motorcycle. The officer did not identify himself as an officer for several long. Graber thought he was about to become a victim of a carjacking. Read the full article »

The BMW S1000 RR is without doubt one of the biggest hit in the supersport category in 2010, while the GT-R even managed to compete on equal terms with Porsche of late.
