Indian Motorcycle has announced that it will roll out a series of custom Indian Scouts designed and built by some of America’s top custom bike builders, each designed to celebrate an important Indian Scout milestone or achievement since its debut in 1920. The first bike of the series is the Custom Military Scout, a tribute to the company’s nearly 100-year history of supporting the U.S. Military. Yamaha have today announced the newest member of the manufacturer’s already remarkable scooter range. The 125cc NMAX is a new entry-level commuter that is powered by an A1-licence friendly, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine with over 100 mpg fuel economy. Zero Motorcycles, the global leader in the electric motorcycle industry, announced today that its complete line is coming to Italy. Italy isn’t the first European country for Zero, the’ve already established a strong presence in Germany, Switzerland, Scandinavia and Netherlands. Honda has just officially confirmed the return of one of motorcycling's most celebrated and evocative names - the Africa Twin. The 2015 CRF1000L will be available later this year and it will battle the BMW GS, Ducati Multistrada, and KTM 1190 models. Ducati has announced a new monthly sales record for April. The manufacturer sold 7,309 motorcycles last month, the highest monthly sales total in company history. The top selling bike was the brand new Scrambler, but the 1299 Panigale and Multistrada 1200 models also contributed to achieve these results. Read the full article »
The Knucklehead was a revolutionary motorcycle when it was introduced in the 1930’s. It had a four-speed gearbox, dry slump lubrication, and overhead valve V-Twin when other bikes were mostly flatheads. Basically, this was the bike that made Harley-Davidson. Honda and Yamaha are recalling sportsbike owners over a faulty Ohlins rear shock which could come apart during use. Since the Yamaha YZF-R1M barely hit the market, the recall only affects 350 owners while Yamaha has to notify all 2014/15 CBR1000RR owners. In total, 934 aftermarket Öhlins TTX series shocks are being recalled because the piston nut on some rear cushion shock absorders may not have been correctly tightened to specification when being manufactured.
