After all sorts of spy shots and official teaser videos we have got the genuine photos of the new Triumph Tiger 800. The bike will have two versions, the standard 800 and the 800XC. On the pictures, we can see the off-road version, the XC, which features 21-inch front wheel with knobby tires and extended front mudguard. The bike will be powered by the Daytona 675’s engine displacing 800cc. The little Tiger will weight about 440lbs and the engine will produce a little less power and a little more torque than the Daytona’s 124hp and 53lb/ft. Read the full article »

Triumph has released two new videos showing their latest bikes, including Tiger 800, Speed Triple, America, Speedmaster and Thunderbird Storm as well as an unknown bike. Rumours suggest that this is Triumph’s newest sports bike, dubbed the Daytona 675R. This could be a tuned version of the standard 675 which will feature higher spec suspension, brakes and meaner looks. The Italian firm confirmed yesterday its new muscle cruiser, called the Diavel. The motorcycle will make its debut at the EICMA International Motorcycle Show in Milan 2-7 November. The manufacturer says the Diavel (pronounced Dee-ah-vel) will „take the man-motorcycle relationship to the next level in absolute comfort.” The machine weighs 456lbs and features ABS, traction control and Ducati Riding Modes. Brembo and Suzuki signed a three-year new agreement that sees the Italian company supplying Suzuki with brake calipers for its GSX-R line. The two companies are already cooperating in the MotoGP for years. With this agreement, Brembo reconfirms its position as one of the favourite suppliers of the big motorcycle manufacturers. The Ducati Diavel will be officially revealed next month at the Milan EICMA show but thanks to the Ducati News Today, we can show you how the first prototype looked like. The pictures were taken 18 month ago in Los Angeles as the bike was created up for a trip back to Europe. This prototype has only one exhaust and a custom swing arm. The North American division of Suzuki has announced the arrival of the 2011 GSX1250FA for its 2011 lineup. The fully-faired version of the Bandit features a liquid-cooled 1255cc inline-four which produces 98hp at 7500rpm and 108Nm at 3700rpm. The GSX1250FA offers sporty, aggressive styling courtesy of its full body fairing and stacked headlight assembly, which was also incorporated into the GSX-R sportbike models. Read the full article »

A new report has came out that comes to a somewhat surprising conclusion: four-wheeled all terrain vehicles are more likely to kill riders than off-road motorcycles. According to researchers from Johns Hopkins Center for Surgery Trials and Outcomes Research, while the initial injuries was similar for both groups, those injured on ATV suffered far worse fates. Victims of ATV crashes are 50 percent more likely to die than people injured while crashing in Motocross and other off-road motorcycle events. Read the full article »

The European Commission wants European motorbikes to have ABS, cleaner engines and daytime headlights starting in 2013, according to a Reuters report. The proposed regulations include details of future emissions regulations and changes to the detailed technical specifications of all bikes. The most significant element is, that EU wants to make ABS a legal requirement on all new models. Even bikes under 125cc will have to be fitted either with ABS or with combined brakes, while everything over that size will be forced to have anti-lock as standard. Read the full article »

The Austrian company introduced the new 990 SM T with the addition of dual-channel ABS system engineered by Bosch at the Intermot show this week. Just how good are the new brakes? KTM calls its new 990 SM T the “Queen of negative acceleration.” The bike features dual 305mm discs front and 240mm rotor back.
