No matter if you like the electric motorcycles or not - they're here to stay. We saw the amazing speed of the Motoczysz E1pc on this year's Isle of Man TT, and now here's Jenny Tinmouth's zero-emission lap record at Anglesey circuit, during a round of the UK TTXGP Championship. Her fastest lap was 1:20.922 and had an average speed of 69mph. Wonder how long it will take before electric machines lap faster than petrol-powered machines. Read the full article »

The 2011 Dakar race will take place again in Argentina and Chile. Registrations opened on May 15th and the race starts on January 2nd and finish on the 8th. "After two editions in South America, the Dakar continues its exploration in 2011 of a continent which has impressive potential for new discovery. Heading towards the north of Argentina and Chile, the route skims the frontiers of neighbouring countries and takes competitors through ever more varied country. Kawasaki has released the first picture of the 2011 Ninja ZX-10R. Unfortunately, this is the race version, so we still don't have a clue, how the headlights will look like. From this yar on there is a whole new category on the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy for electric motorcycles. The MotoCzysz E1pc simply annihilated the competition, reaching 95mph average speed. Ferrari and Ducati are tied together in more than one ways, so it doesn't bother Ferrari that the motorcycle manufacturer gave him a Desmosedici RR with personaized paint job that’s a mix between the Ferrari and Ducati liveries. Alonso's bike, numbered 1175 of an exclusive run of 1500 machines, was recently handed over to the former F1 champion. Italian motorcycle safety equipment manufacturer Dainese finally announced the development of road-ready airbag system. The company have been working on this for a long time, the racing system is ready for market launching and now it's the road system turn.
