BMW has just released the photos and spec sheet of the updated S1000 RR. The bike is practically the same as the old S1000 RR, just with a tweeked engine and chassis. One of the primary objectives pursued for the revised S 1000 RR model was to improve ridability by boosting thrust and enhancing the linearity and harmoniousness of the power and torque curves. Before the end of this year, BMW Motorrad will establish its new "Urban Mobility" area with two premium vehicles in the maxi scooter segment. The BMW maxi scooters combine the functionality of a scooter with the riding pleasure of a motorcycle. Both vehicles are powered by high-performance and efficient 2-cylinder combustion engines. Ducati has announced the 2012 Streetfighter 848. The bike offers the same trellis-framed styling as its big-engined sibling, along with traction control and revised ergonomics. „With the enhanced geometry of a chassis that provides confidence-inspiring agility, the Streetfighter 848 has enriched its user-friendliness with a smooth and flexible power delivery, revised ergonomics and Ducati Traction Control (DTC),” says a press release from Ducati. Husqvarna just released official specs for the Nuda 900 and Nuda 900 R which are certainly revolutionary for the brand itself. Both the Nuda 900 and the Nuda 900 R are powered by the same 900cc two-cylinder engine that delivers 105 hp and 100Nm of torque. The R models are differentiated not just by carbon components and suspension adjustment, but also ride height. As previous reports suggested the Ducati Streetfighter is getting a major facelift next year. The information was leaked by Ducati’s American website. The new Streetfighter Evo SP will feature a brand new engine. The new V-twin delivers 170hp and 97 lb/ft of torque that is exactly what the 1198 Superbike makes and a significant upgrade to the current Streetfighter, which features a 1098cc engine delivering 155hp and 85 lb/ft. The Japanese manufacturer may be planning to revive the Inazuma name. The original Inazuma name was carried by a retro-styled Bandit in the late 90s and early 2000s. The brand’s last retro-styled street bike, the GSX 1400 disappeared in 2007. Nowadays, there are plenty of naked bikes, but only few of them are round-headlamp retros. Suzuki has now registered the Inazuma name once again, which translates “Lightning”. American Honda Motor Co., Inc., has announced that the 2012 HRC NSF250R will be available in the U.S. Newly developed for FIM GP road racing competition in the Moto3 class, the NSF250R is powered by an all-new liquid-cooled single-cylinder 249cc four-stroke engine specifically designed for racing.
