Aprilia has released a set of new photos of its revised Scarabeo 125 and 200 scooters. Both scooters feature new design, but the mid-size engines also receive an important restyling. The Scarabeo 125 and 200 flaunt an entirely new look, but which clearly recalls the original Scarabeo style. The front shield is new – where the “classic” oval grille returns – new mirrors, turn indicators and saddle, for “entry level” luxury based on the incredible quality/price ratio. Styled in the image of its 1955 namesake, Royal Enfield's latest 500cc Bullet offers riders classic motorcycling from a brand with a pedigree stretching back to 1901, all for less than £4000. And with frugal fuel consumption of 80mpg running costs are equally modest. Valenced steel mudguards, hand-painted gold coach-lines on the petrol tank and side panels, and winged Royal Enfield badges mean that the latest incarnation of the Bullet, which has been in continuous production since 1949, could easily be mistaken for a restored machine from the 1950's. Aprilia has unveiled two new scooters called the SR Max 125 and 300. These are supposed to be sporty scooters fitted with powerfu engines and top-shelf suspension components. The single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4 valve 125 version, equipped with electronic injection, reaches a power of 15 HP at 9,250 rpm: the maximum power and torque values are absolute benchmarks and ensure quick acceleration and disciplined pick up for the Aprilia SR Max, all to the advantage of perfect gear fluidity. Japanese company Yamaha announced its 2012 YZ250F, YZ450F, and WR250F off-road machines, the Majesty 400 maxi scooter and the XT250 and TW200 dual purpose bikes. For 2012, Yamaha’s Off-Road Competition line-up also comprises the YZ85, YZ85LW, YZ125, YZ250, the championship-winning enduro WR250F, the continued YZ-styled 2-stroke PW50 and PW80, and the 4-stroke TT-R50E, TT-R110E, TT-R125LW/E. 2012 models include new graphics, as well as the enduro bikes. Suzuki has finally took the wraps off the 2012 DL 650 ABS, the V-Strom. The new bike is longer, taller, and lighter than its predecessor and features an updated engine. The V-Strom has a 3-way height-adjustable windscreen, carefully shaped with extensive wind tunnel testing, efficiently reduces wind noise and rider fatigue. Honda has released a new video about the EV-neo . The EV-neo is an electric scooter that was designed to improve mobility in large cities. The scooter features a 72V lithium-ion battery which sends power to an electric motor that develops 2.8 kW (3,8hp) and 11Nm of torque. The EV-neo has a range of 21 miles (34km) on a single charge. The battery pack can be fully recharged in 3.5 hours with the standard recharger or 30 minutes with the rapid charger. Read the full article »

Italian manufacturer Benelli revealed the new TnT R160 naked bike. The R160 features a three-cylinder engine which delivers 155hp and 120Nm of torque. The bike carries a price tag of $17,000. Born on the Roadster Cup Race, the R160 is a hymn to the performance, thanks to a three-cylinder engine in its most refined, and chassis that is enriched with adjustable suspensions: giving you a pleasure to get best lap time or enjoy the most beautiful mountain roads. Meet the new Buell 1190RS. The 1190RS is the first new streetbike to carry Buell’s name since Harley-Davidson discontinued the original Buell Motorcycle brand. The bike is powered by a liquid-cooled V-Twin claiming 175 hp at 9750rpm and 97 ft-lb. at 9100rpm. As previously reported, the 1190RS will use Ohlins suspension. The front brake uses an 8-piston caliper and is equipped with cooling ducts. The base EBR 1190RS will have a price tag of $39,999 while the Carbon Package is an extra $4,000. Read the full article »
