Can-Am Spyder Hybrid make public debut in Geneva

After making its North American premiere at the International Motor Show in New York in January, Can-Am took the wraps off the Spyder Roadster Hybrid in Geneva, too. The Spyder is a three-wheeled motorcycle that utilizes a single drive wheel out back with two other wheels up front. The Concept is powered by a 998cc Rotax engine delivering 106hp and an electric motor. The company claims that the plug-in hybrid is 50% more fuel-efficient than the current Can-Am Spyder Roadster. Read the full article »

New photos of the Renard GT

Estonian company Renard released the first photos of their Grand Tourer last Summer. Now, we have two more pictures of the bike. The Renard Grand Tourer prototype is a sporty power cruiser, and features ultra-light composite unibody which weighs only 11 kg. The carbon-fibre monocoque body is reinforced with Kevlar to make it resistant to impact and vibration. The unibody integrates the motorcycle’s frame, gondolas, petrol tank and air box into a single load-bearing structure. Read the full article »

Mansory Zapico introduced

Mansory is a German aftermarket tuning company that specializes in the modification of high-end cars. The firm has now come up with a custom motorcycle that debuted today at the Geneva Motor Show. Carbon fibre decorates the impressive-looking cruiser while the front mask, bug spoiler, seat module, primary shield and silencer as well as the applications on the fuel tank, the frame, fork, wheel rims and airbox all originate from the Mansory factory. Read the full article »

Zeru XU electric all-rounder launched

American motorcycle manufacturer Zero launched its fifth model for its 2011 product line. The XU is a lightweight electric motorcycle which features aluminium frame, eye-catching design, and most importantly, a removable power pack. „With instant torque from zero rpm, a low weight, a low seat height and a removable power pack, the Zero XU is the ultimate electric motorcycle for those who live in the city.” – says the press release. Read the full article »

2012 Aprilia Caponord scooped

Aprilia is going to introduce a new, large-displacement touring bike that will compete with the Ducati Multistrada 1200. Italian magazine Motociclismo.it was able to take a photo of the bike, which will share some parts with the Dorsoduro 1200. The composite frame, the 1200cc engine and some parts of the chassis comes straight from the big Dorsoduro. Details are scare but it’s clear that the bike will feature Brembo brakes and Öhlins forks. 2011 Aprilia RSV4 R APRC SE launched

Aprilia decided to give the RSV4 R the APRC treatment which debuted last Autumn at the EICMA show in form of the RSV4 Factory APRC Special Edition. This means the RSV4 R APRC SE will be equipped with an 8-stage adjustable traction control, wheelie control, launch control, and a quick shifter. Along with these high-tech electronics, the bike also features an improved motor lubrication system and recalibrated gearbox for better acceleration. Morgan 3 Wheeler official pictures

British manufacturer Morgan has revealed today the 3 Wheeler, together with a video footage showing the classic model. This isn’t the first threewheeler of the brand, from 1909 to 1953 around 30,000 Morgan threewheelers were manufactured in Malvern and many more were made under license by Darmont Morgan in France. In 2011, Morgan decided to relaunch this exceptional design, and the 3 Wheeler is already approved by the US and European road transport authorities. Read the full article »

Official: BMW will launch two maxi scooters in November

According to Spanish motorcycle magazine Soloscooter, BMW will launch two brand new maxi scooters in November. The information comes from Hermann Bohrer, VP of BMW. Bohrer said in an interview, BMW Motorrad will reveal two maxi scooters at EICMA motorcycle show in Milan in November and they will be on sale in 2012. Rumours suggest that the two scooters will be closely related to the Concept C. BMW’s new scooters will most likely compete with the Suzuki Burgman and Yamaha T-Max. Read the full article »

2012 Honda FourTrax Foreman 4×4 ATV introduced

Along with the new Gold Wing, Honda’s Foreman line of ATV’s comes with a host of performance upgrades for 2012. The ATV is powered by a new, 475cc, single-cylinder OHV four-stroke engine with fuel injection. Besides, the FourTrax’s chassis has been redesigned, featuring lighter suspension system and high-quality shock.
