Yamaha has today announced two important news - a new limited edition of the R1 and that it’s making another run of YZF-R1Ms for 2016. The manufacurer celebrates its 60th anniversary with the special R1 that features the classic Yamaha US yellow and black „Speed Block” race livery from the 1970’s. In addition to that, the 2016 R1M will once again be made available via a dedicated online registration system. Customer applications will be accepted from October 1st 2015 onwards. German motorcycle manufacturer Horex rises from the ashes of bankruptcy with an all-new model. The unique-looking VR6 Silver Edition was presented at Frankfurt Motor Show in Frankfurt. The roadster is still based on the original VR6 but the bike features a number of updates including a more powerful engine, extensive use of carbon fibre, top-shelf suspension parts, and more premium materials. Husqvarna has just revealed the full specifications of its newest bike, the 701 Supermoto. The bike features a lightweight frame, a liquid-cooled singly capable of delivering 67hp and 67 Nm of torque, advanced ABS brakes, and WP suspension parts. But the 701 Supermoto is not the only new model from Husqvarna – according to Asphalt & Rubber, an enduro version is also in the works as another 2016 model year bike. Read the full article »

The day has finally come, Ducati has just revealed its most powerful naked bike ever at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. The Monster 1200R’s 1198cc Testastretta twin-cylinder engine makes 160hp and 131Nm while wet weight is 207kg. A cheap, fast way of individual city transportation – many companies are currently working to achieve this goal. The newest one is GenZe, a small company in Silicon Valley, owned by Indian conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra. Yamaha joined the 250-350cc market for entry-level sport bikes with the YZF-R3. It took a bit for Yamaha to join this fray, but in a timely manner its naked 321cc MT/FZ counterpart is confirmed to be coming soon. Kawasaki has just announced that the ZX-10R will get a host of updates influenced by the Kawasaki Racing Team for the 2016 model year. According to the manufacturer’s press release, the new litre class Ninja will feature important updates - some of them are subtle changes to the design while others only become apparent as you get closer to the thoroughbred machine. Victory announced its 2016 model year motorcycles. There are no new cruisers or baggers on the lineup and apart from Victory’s first electric bike, the Empulse TT, the only changes are some new colours and other, minimal cosmetic updates. Indian Motorcycles have just revealed its 2016 model year bikes, including the highly popular Chief range. For 2016, Indian will offer new colour options for its basic cruisers: the Chief will be available in Pearl White while the Chief Vintage gets two new colours, Star Silver and Thunder Black.
