Red Bull Motorcycle Concept

We have seen a lot of interesting mototcycle concepts, but this latest one is just unique. This Red Bull motorcycle concept is rather a sculpture than a two-wheeler. And who can create something like that? An artist of course, Barrend Massow Hemmes. He revealed that the basic idea behind his creation is inspired by one of his iconic company logo víz, bull, which had existed only on papers before. Air Asia heading to MotoGP?

Air Asia, the first low cost airline of Asia, will probably be the main sponsor of the Yamaha MotoGP team. The team is currently owned by Fiat, but the Italian manufacturer has yet to announce if they will continue sponsoring the team next year. The first gossip was, that Spanish telecommmunications company Telefonica wants to sponsor the team. This second rumour seems more serious, because Air Asia negotiated with Honda HRC team earlier but they quit when they found out that Casey Stoner’s future RCV wasn’t involved. Read the full article »

TAS Suzuki returns to the Isle of Man TT

Suzuki will return to the Isle of Man TT in 2011 with Northern Ireland-based TAS Racing, the team has announced. TAS, one of the TT’s most successful teams, and Suzuki are continuing a partnership established more than a decade ago. The father and son team of Hector and Philip Neil will spearhead Suzuki’s efforts in the British Superbike Championship and the International Road Races, including the TT. There is no word yet on whether TAS will retain Cameron Donald and Bruce Anstey for next year’s road racing season, but there will be a two rider line-up and an announcement is expected in the next few weeks. Read the full article »

Video: how Kawasaki’s sport traction control works

The 2011 ZX-10R features Kawasaki’s sport traction control, the S-KTRC. This system comes straight from the race track (MotoGP), and the manufacturer released a video now, which explains the difference between a normal traction control and the S-KTRC. The ZX-10R’s system constantly monitors the separate speeds of the front and rear wheels, engine RPM, throttle position, acceleration and other factors. When the S-KTRC recognizes a small amount of slip, reacts in five milliseconds, altering engine ignition. Read the full article »

2011 Triumph Tiger 800 and Daytona 675R – photo gallery

These are the first pictures of the 2011 Daytona 675R – a high-spec version of Triumph’s supersport bike. The new machine will be the first Triumph equipped with Öhlins suspension. The bike features high-spec Brembo brakes, carbon mudguards, white/black paint scheme, new Triumph logos, and red subrfame. The British marque didn’t release the technical specifications yet, but it is believed the engine is unchanged and the chassis is also unaltered. 2011 Brammo Enertia Plus: double range for plus $1,000

Electric motorcycle manufacturer Brammo introduced the new 2011 Enertia Plus which is an upgraded version of the 2010 Enertia. The bike costs just $1,000 more than the non-plus version, but has 80 miles of range compared to the old version’s 40 miles. The electric machine also features a number of enhancements including simplified charging, improved maneuverability, an option of a center kickstand and rigid side bags. Read the full article »

Another leaked photo of Honda’s V4 naked adventurer

Honda continues to release information about its new bike that „will have the flexibility and exciting attitude of a naked performance machine, with the upright riding position and rugged appearance of an adventure bike.”, says the company’s statement. This second sketch shows the front fairing of the bike, which is designed to provide high speed stability while keeping the engine cool. This new machine have to battle the popular BMW R1200GS, the Ducati Multistrada, the Yamaha Super Ténéré and the new Triumph Tiger 800 XC. Read the full article »

BMW released the 2011 R1200GS Triple Black

The Bavarian marque will introduce the 2011 R1200GS Triple Black at the EICMA show in Milan next month, but they already released the official photos and technical data of the special edition bike. The machine is based on the 2010 R1200GS and comes with metallic black paint, cross-spoke wheels, front forks, engine castings, rear sub-frame, and valve covers. The bike got BMW’s Premium Package which includes Enduro Electronic Suspension Adjustment, heated grips, hand guards, ABS, and pannier mounting points. The Triple Black uses the same 110hp boxer engine as the 2010 GS. The bike carries a price tag of $18,385 MSRP. Read the full article »
