Honda has released the technical details of the new CRF1000L Africa Twin, which will be in Honda showrooms across Europe in late 2015. Like its celebrated forerunners, the CRF1000L Africa Twin is thoroughly equipped for true adventure, with a potent engine and dynamic chassis ready to cover continents on or off-road. Yamaha has released photos and a video of its new retro-styled production model, the XSR700. The bike is basically the production version of the concept MT-07 restyled by legendary Japanese custom-builder Shinya Kimura. The retro-looking XSR700 uses the FZ-07 platform, taking the frame and 689cc parallel-twin engine. The 2016 Yamaha XSR700 will arrive in dealerships on the continent in November and it will be available in Forest Green or Garage Metal paint schemes. Read the full article »
On 23rd July Triumph Motorcycles will auction the iconic Scrambler ridden by action hero Chris Pratt in the global summer blockbuster Jurassic World. The bespoke bike, featured racing alongside Raptors in the film will be sold by eBay to the highest bidder, with the proceeds going to Triumph’s nominated fundraising partner, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. Guy Martin will attempt to break the motorcycle landspeed world record next month on Triumph-powered streamliner. Unlike the other vehicles and contraptions he's tried to break speed records with before, this time should be slightly easier as it'll be on a Triumph motorbike. In order to succeed, he’s going to have to go faster than 376.363 mph. The attempt will take place at the iconic Bonneville Salt Flats between August 23 and 27. Read the full article »

So when Polaris was speaking about a new era for Indian, they clearly ment it. Their newest creation is a custom bike that will race across the Bonneville Salt Flats. Registration for the 2016 Dakar for motorcycles and quads closed on Wednesday, July 15, as usual, two months after it opened on May 15. Prior to that date, KTM announced that it will start two factory teams next year. KTM also thanked Marc Coma for all his efforts as a KTM rider as the Spaniard is retiring from racing. Last year Yamaha UK gave the UK’s biggest motorcycle weekly publication MCN an XV950 on loan. The plan for journalist Steve Hunt was to see what a relative novice could do with some bolt on parts and accessories to create his own custom build.
