European motorcycle sales continue to grow

A total of 388,000 powered-two and three-wheelers were registered during the first four months of 2015 in the EU. This represents an increase of 0.2% compared to the 387,080 vehicles registered during the same period of 2014. Registrations performed positively in Spain (40,380 units, +16.8%) and the UK (36,425 units, +11.7%). Read the full article »

2016 Kawasaki Z800 ABS First Look

Kawasaki announced this week its new middleweight naked bike – the Z800 ABS. The newest member of the Kawasaki family features the well-known aggressive, stripped-down styling, a torquey 806cc four-cylinder, KYB suspension, and retails for $8,399. With this MSRP, the bike is cheaper than the Z1000 but costs slightly more than the Yamaha FZ-09. The new Z800 arrives in dealerships this fall. Read the full article »

Upgraded 2016 Yamaha YZ450F and 60th Anniversary Limited Edition model arrived

Yamaha has just announced a series of 2016 models, including 50, 85, 110, 125, 250 and 450cc off-road bikes. Most of the TTR and YZ models got a new colour for the 2016 model year but Yamaha did some more important changes on the YZ450F. The largest YZ now features better brakes, more mid- and low-range power, better clutch and an upgraded chassis. In addition to that, Yamaha has revealed a special edition of the bike to celebrate the 60th birthday of the two-stroke YA-1. Read the full article »

Peugeot announced the 50cc version of the Django scooter

Peugeot's „neo-retro” Django scooter will be available with the option of a 50cc engine in time for Summer 2015. Already produced with a choice of 125cc and 150cc motors, the 50cc version of the Django can be ridden on an AM licence, making it accessible to anyone aged 16 or over. AM category scooters can also be ridden by anyone who passed their car driving test before 1st February 2001, without the need to take any extra tests. Read the full article »

Suzuki GSX-R1000, GSX-R750 and GSX-R700 now all available in MotoGP livery

Suzuki has updated its GSX-R range of superbikes with a new MotoGP livery. Thanks to the new colour option, the three GSX-R models look like the race machines of Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro on race weekends. Suzuki didn’t touch the mechanics but the largest Gixxer got a special trim with with an SET (Suzuki Exhaust Tuning) valve and a Yoshimuira exhaust that improves the bike’s performance. Read the full article »

Victory Project 156 „Race to the Clouds” bike revealed – video

As we reported earlier, Victory Motorcycles, in partnership with Roland Sands Design and Cycle World, will race a new prototype engine at the Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb on June 28. The race bike, named Project 156 was fully revealed today. It features an Indian-based, 1133cc V-Twin Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes and carbon bodywork while the frame was built by Roland Sands. Read the full article »
