Saroléa SP7 all-carbon electric superbike debuts – Video

Belgian bike manufacturer, Sarolea has pulled the covers off of the SP7 at the Autoworld show in Brussels. The new machine will try and make it it onto the podium in the SES TT Zero Challenge Race at the Isle of Man TT. The bike features lots and lots of carbon and titanium parts, a large electric motor and is capable of doing 168 mph. Triumph celebrates 21 years of Speed Triple with special edition machines

Triumph has two new special edition machines to launch later this year, with both of them commemorating the 1994 debut of the Speed Triple 900. The Speed 94 and 94R bikes are based on its Speed Triple range. The special edition models feature black exhaust silencer wraps, a black filler cap, a colour-matched fly screen, seat cowl and belly pan. The bikes will be available in Racing Yellow or Jet Black paint scheme. Read the full article »

Peugeot’s Vivacity 125 RS scooter unveiled

Peugeot has just unveiled the new RS edition of its Vivacity scooter. According to the manufacturer, the RS looks more „sportier”. Unfortunately, Apiril 1st was a week ago but the Vivacity is still a reliable, comfortable little scooter that comes with a moderate price tag and a two-year unlimited mileage warranty that is impressive. 2015 KTM 250 Duke and RC250 revealed

KTM has revealed two 250cc models at the Tokyo Motor Show, the Duke 250 and the RC250. Since the Austrians already have 125, 200 and 375cc machines on their line-up, the two new models make only sense if you know the Japanese regulations. In Japan, only bikes above 250cc need to take the viciously expensive shaken test. It’s likely that the two new models will be offered in other countries, too. Read the full article »

V4 heaven – Honda VFR history

The Honda VFR model line set the sport touring benchmark for the last three decades. During all these years, the VFR has earned a reputation for reliability and high build quality, but Honda has built some disastrous VFRs in the mid-1980s. One of the most fascinating feature of the model line was its V4 engine with its optimum power and torque characteristics. Of course, the V4 was and is cinsiderably trickier than an inline-four. 2015 MV Agusta F4 RC revealed

MV Agusta has now officially confirmed that 250 lucky buyers of the F4 RC will get their bikes later this year. The Italians have also released a bunch of pictures and technical specifications sheet of the 212hp bike. The hand-assembled, WSBK-spec F4 RC features lots of titanium, carbon-fibre, and magnesium parts. The special edition bike is also lighter than the standard F4. Electric motrocycle industry continues to grow

Forecasts by a research firm have revealed that the electric motorcycle industry is expected to achieve stable and continuous growth during the coming years. Battery costs will decrease in the next couple of years which makes the electric motorcycles and scooters more affordable. The market is led by China, where most of the world’s e-motorcycles and e-scooters are sold. According to Navigant Research, sales are set to reach around 5.3 million over the course of 2015. Read the full article »

Yamaha showcases its three-wheeled future

Yamaha Motor released two design concept trikes today, one for road use and the other for off-road. The design concepts are based on the twin front wheels leaning multi-wheel Tricity and are named 03GEN-f and 03GEN-x. The 03GEN-f is a sportier, more futuristic of the two, while the latter is designed with more an off-road theme. The new concepts indicate that Yamaha has further plans to develop new three wheel bikes for the market. Read the full article »

Yamaha introduced the XV950 Racer

Yamaha has just revealed the Racer version of its magnificent XV950 or Star Bolt. The machine was inspired by Markus Walz’ El Raton Asesino, a bike that was created for the Yard Built competition. Features of the special edition Bolt include forged aluminium clip-on handlebars, new switchgear, rear-set footrests, cafe racer style single seat, new suspension and a lot more.
