KTM support rider Ty Howard takes us around the track on the new KTM 1190 RC8 R in preparation for his race season. "Riders who are regularly on the race track often invest a lot of time and money to prepare their sports machine in the best possible way. Video: World’s first synchronized double backflip performed by Travis Pastrana and Cam Sinclair

7-time X Games medalist Travis Pastrana and dozens of the world’s greatest action sports stars performed in the North American debut of Nitro Circus Live at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. The show of world-firsts kicked off when Pastrana asked his long-term girlfriend, Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins to marry him. “I wasn’t supposed to do this until the end of the show, but I was so nervous I couldn’t wait. Honda to expand motorcycle production in India

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Ltd. announced plans to expand production capacity of its second motorcycle production plant, which is currently under construction, and to build a third motorcycle production plant to meet increasing demand in the rapidly growing motorcycle market in India. The second plant is currently being built in the Tapukara Industrial Area of Rajasthan and is scheduled to become operational in July 2011 with annual production capacity of 0.6 million units. Read the full article »

Two pictures of Suzuki’s new middle-class adventure bike

The Japanese manufacturer is working on a brand new middle-weight adventure bike. It’s still unclear whether the replacement of the V-Strom will feature a 650cc, an 800cc or even a 1000cc engine. Sources say that the new bike will be more off-road capable than the current V-Strom. Unfortunately, the teaser images don’t show much, but we are sure that we will see more images in the near future. Rumors from Europe suggest some styling cues from the Gladius, with a more off-road-oriented design with spoked wheels replacing the cast aluminum hoops on the V-Strom, and more robust suspension bits. Read the full article »

The special edition Repsol branded EV-neo will be used by the riders and team at Honda Racing Corporation to move parts and personnel around at the MotoGP races worldwide. New Zero S awarded E-Bike of the Year

Electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles have announced that their Zero S electric motorcycle received the prestigious “e-Bike of the Year” award at Europe’s Clean Week 2020. Being evaluated among electric motorcycles from around the world, the Zero S finally became the first electric motorcycle to win the newly created category. New colour schemes for 2011 Peugeot Tweet RS scooter

Peugeot have introduced two cool new colour schemes for their big wheel 125 RS scooter in response to booming demand for machines of this capacity from customers. Featuring striking ice white or mad black bodywork, contrasting black wheels with polished alloy rims and 226mm Shuricane wavy front disc brake, the 125 RS is a striking machine. Sales of scooters rose by 30% during the first three months of 2011 in Great Britain, with the 125cc capacity growing by an equally impressive 27%. Read the full article »

Video: ¼ mile race BMW S1000RR, F800R, R1200GS, M3 and M5

German motorcycle accessoriy specialist Hornig organized a quarter mile race with the finest BMW machines with two and four wheels. It’s no surprise that the S1000 RR won the race with 9,72 sec. The F800R - which has only 87hp - rocketed to second place with 11,54 sec. The R1200GS Adventure finished third with 11,86 sec, while the M5 beat the M3 by just 0,06 second. It’s amazing to see that these „slow” bikes with under 100hp beat these fine sports cars. Read the full article »
