Harley XLST3 Sportster Dirt Track

The custom division of UK based Shaw Harley-Davidson created another special Sportster model. The XLST3 is based on a 2011 XL1200N Sportster Nightster and was inspired by the look of the 70’s Dirt Trackers. The bike features an in-house built exhaust system, chain drive, titanium nitrided forks, Öhlins shocks, progressive springs and XL883 fork lowers. Performance Machine brake system is hooked up to Roland Sands Design Black Ops 13” brake rotors, and the gas tank comes from RSD, too. Read the full article »

Casey Stoner claims third win in Catalunya

Repsol Honda rider Casey Stoner pulled away from championship leader Jorge Lorenzo to win the Catalunya Grand Prix on Sunday. The Australian rider rocketed to his third win to the season. Stoner took the lead from Jorge Lorenzo on lap two and and pulled away. Lorenzo got a good start and was first into turn one, but he could not hold off Stoner. American Ben Spies came third ahead of Dovizioso and Rossi. Read the full article »

New graphics for the 2012 Honda XR650L

According to Honda, the XR650L „has grown to become a legend in its own time”, which usually means the bike is on the market long time ago and its successor is on its way. This time, we’ll have to wait more. For the 2012 model year, the XR650L will return to accomplish all kinds of two-wheeled missions once more. The 650 is a street legal, multi-purpose bike, capable of handling demanding off-road routes, single-track, winding fire roads, paved roads, highways and freeways. Read the full article »

2011 Vespa S Sport and GTS SuperSport

The Sport special edition of Vespa embodies the values of style, comfort and sportiness while citing the legendary models of the past such as the 1955 Vespa GS 150, the 1965 180 SS and the T5 „Pole Position” from 1985. Four engine choices for two different models: The Vespa GTS SuperSport is available as 300 and 125 ie versions, the Vespa S Sport is available with a choice of 150 cc, 125 cc and 2 and 4 stroke 50cc engines. Read the full article »

Video: An-Bu Yamaha GX400SP Cafe Racer

Nagoya-based Japanese company An-Bu builds stripped-back customs. Their newest creation is a Yamaha Cafe Racer. The bike is based on the Yamaha GX400SP which was produced in the late 70’s. The guys at An-Bu cut down the frame and lowered the suspension. The Yamaha now features a narrow tank and a tire-hugging tail unit. Video: Safety and Wheelie

According to Kawasaki, safety and wheelie is a good combination. Kawasaki and Team No Limit stunt riders Jason Britton and Eric Hoenshell recently teamed up for the 101 Critical Days of Summer safety fair at MCAS Miramar in San Diego, Ca. Motorcycle safety is a high level concern for the young men and women who serve our country. While Jason and Eric impressed thousands of active duty Marines with their extreme riding skills, they also expressed the importance of wearing the proper gear, choosing a motorcycle that is right for you and getting proper training in order to enjoy the ride. Read the full article »

KTM re-enters MotoGP competition in Moto3 class

KTM will return to the MotoGP competition in 2012 to compete in the new Moto3 category. Extensive and intensive preparations are underway at KTM, where a 100% pure in-house Moto3 racing machine is being developed by KTM engineer Wolfgang Felber and his team. KTM has also secured an exclusive partnership with Kalex Engineering and together the two companies will combine both skills and passion to develop two different, but parallel concepts, both focusing on a successful entry into the new race category. Read the full article »

Museum condition 1999 Ducati 916 for sale

Massimo Tamburini is one of the best designers in the motorcycle industry, he designed bikes such as the Ducati Paso, the MV Agusta F4 and Brutale or the Cagiva Mito. But his best work yet is the 1994-1999 Ducati 916 which was included in the Guggenheim’s Museum The Art of the Motorcycle exhibit of 1998-1999. Now, you can buy yourself a „new” 916 for a reasonable price of €20,000. The seller lives in Monaco, and according to him, it’s probably the lowest mileage 916 in the world, since it has only 42 km (26 miles) on the clock. Read the full article »

2012 Honda NSF250R Moto3 race bike revealed

Honda has finally took the wraps off the 2012 NFS250R Moto3 race bike. The NFS250R is powered by a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, 249 cc engine which was specifically designed for Moto3 to be lightweight and compact while delivering high output. To achieve this high output together with excellent responsiveness, the machine incorporates a front-intake/rear-exhaust configuration with high charging efficiency, while adopting a layout with the cylinder tilted back 15° to concentrate mass. Read the full article »

Suomy Capirossi Replica helmet revealed

Presented for the first time by Loris Capirossi during the Pramac Ducati team conference in Genoa, Suomy Excel Capirossi Replica will be available in stores starting in the next few days. The graphics remained similar to the previous version, much appreciated by users, with stylized and colorful running flowers around the base of the helmet, the number 65 on the left side and three stars on the right side with the colors of the Italian flag, Monaco and European Union flags. The colors are changing on a dark background, the yellow blends well with the greens, the glitter and colored streamers that run in a circle. Read the full article »
