2011 Piaggio Liberty Teens revealed

Piaggio has revealed the new Liberty 50 Teens scooter. With over half a million units sold, the Liberty is a best seller on the lightweight scooter market. For the year 2011, the scooter comes out with a completely redesigned style dedicated to younger users: the Teens version features chromatic contrast drawn from the bright pastel white of the bodywork. Video: Tribute to classic motorcycles

Classic Moto is the annual meeting point for classic (meaning built before 1983) bikes. The event takes place every year on the Jarama track at Madrid. For road racing machines it is a very special place, as Jarama is the legendary circuit in Spain. Agostini, Read, Saarinen, Sheene, Roberts, Baker, Cecotto, Gardner, Lawson, Schwantz, Sarron, etc rode in the track, and some of them are now back. Video: Ducati Multistrada 1200S Pikes Peak

The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, also known as „The race to the clouds” is always an exciting bike event of the summer, where cars and bikes face 156 turns on an average grade of 7%. In 2010, a stock Ducati Multistrada 1200 S won in the hands of Pikes Peak’s veteran, Greg Tracy. To celebrate the great victory, Ducati created a special Multistrada. Video: Stay a hero, stay safe

„Stay A Hero” is the latest campaign from the Sussex Safer Roads Partnership, aiming to reduce the number of motorcyclists killed and seriously injured on the roads. „The film looks to remind bikers to ride safely for both themselves and their loved ones, and that they can inspire the next generation to ride skilfully and safely. First sketches of Husqvarna’s 900cc road bike

Husqvarna has released new sketches of its first street machine. The naked streetfighter/supermoto will use the recently announced 900cc parallel twin developed by Husqvarna in conjunction with its parent company BMW. The bike has minimalist lines, small tank and red, black and white colors. The current BMW F800 engine develops 85hp, while the new 900cc version will reportedly deliver around 95 bhp and 70 ft-lb torque with a claimed power delivery that's both linear and smooth at low rpm, but robust at high rpm. Read the full article »

VR6, EVO6, Concept 6 – Six-cylinder bikes of the near future

There are currently two motorcycle concepts with six-cylinder engine that may see mass production in the near future. Japanese manufacturer Honda was first to the game when it revealed the EVO6 concept back in 2007 which was built around the company’s large luxury touring machine, the Gold Wing. After four years of waiting, the EVO6 is still a concept, but nobody knows why. Perhaps Honda is waiting for the global economy to recover. Read the full article »

Winner of 10 out of 10 races in the 1966 World Championship series, the RC166 captured the Manufacturers' and Riders' Championships in the 250cc class for two consecutive years. In short, this is the 1966 RC166. This bike is the most glamorous racing bike ever built. 250 cc isn't the type of engine capacity that gets many riders excited but when you start listing some of the RC166's specs such as its six cylinder engine, 6 independent carbs, 62-64hp and 7 speed gearbox that is capable of 18,000 RPM, things get a little more interesting.
