American actor Steve McQueen (1930-1980) was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and when he had the opportunity to drive in a movie, he performed many of his own stunts. For those who don’t know him, here is a commercial in which he promoted the 1973 Honda CR250 „Elsinore” for one million dollars. Triumph celebrates an important milestone in the company’s history with British comedian Ross Noble who will ride a uniquely livered Speed Triple in his „Sit down Tour” (May 24-30). Noble will visit England, Scotland and Wales, guided only by fans via Twitter. A couple of stops are already planned, while others will be scheduled entirely by daily tweets. After the 350 SX-F and 450 SX-F four-stroke models, Austrian company KTM revealed the two-stroke SX machines which get some engine and chassis updates for the 2012 model year. Engineers have modified the aluminium frame to support the new rear suspension system that was originally introduced on the 2011 SX-F line. The SX 125 and SX 150 get reshaped kickstart levers, while the 150cc version also receives an updated pipe. Read the full article »

The 2011 edition of the Bikers’ Classics event will take place from 1st-3rd July at the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium and Yamaha will be there to take and enjoy another proud step in celebration of their 50th year of Grand Prix racing. The Yamaha Classic Racing Team will appear in all its glory with 21 fantastic historic Yamaha racing machines from 50cc up to 750cc two-strokes, that will be steered on the hallowed curves by former GP stars like Steve Baker, Rod Gould, Phil Read, Giacomo Agostini, Johnny Cecotto and Chas Mortimer, to name but a few. In 2011, Yamaha is celebrating it's fiftieth year of GP racing with a special paint job that all of their MotoGP teams will be using for the Assen and Laguna Seca rounds, but that’s not everything. The Japanese manufacturer also revealed a special T-Max maxi scooter which will get the special GP livery paint job. Unfortunately, the bike will only be available in the Japanese domestic market. For those Ducati Monster owners that only want to add pure Italian made products to their Ducati, then look no further. Top Italian performance exhaust manufacturers LeoVince have just released some new slip-on exhausts, called the LV-ONE, for the Monster. The casings special finish looks like titanium, the exhausts are all 'E' approved for road use, and finished off with their new techno-polymer tailcones. Read the full article »

South African motorcycle designer Pierre Terblanche is noted for his work at Ducati (he designed bikes like the 999, Hypermotard, Supermono, Multistrada, and Moto Guzzi concept bikes), but he left the Italian manufacturer for Norton three months ago. 90 days was enough for Terblanche to draw some sketches of future Norton models. During the late 1920s and 1930s, German brand DKW was the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer. Das kleine Wunder, or „The little wonder” was the name of the first two-stroke engine used in a DKW motorcycle. The V-twin produced 15 hp. On the promotional film clips, you can see the factory production line and the complete build of the two-stroke engine. Austrian company KTM took the wraps off the 2012 SX-F models, including the 350 SX-F and 450 SX-F. At the top of the SX line, the 450 SX-F features revised suspension, bodywork and wheels. The 450cc four-stroke has still a carburettor, but the clutch is new, it’s now available with three adjustable preload settings. The last major change is a new hydraulic master cylinder.
