Husqvarna’s 900cc motor revealed

Husqvarna is going to introduce a new line of street motorcycles in the coming months, and now we have the first official information about the first bike. The new model will focus on a unique combination of performance and versatility, concentrating on the pleasure and fun of riding the machine. The first bike to be launched using the 900cc power plant will be a naked street bike in two versions (standard and factory). Both will be powered by the same engine – a new, 900cc motor which is a longer stroke version of the BMW F800’s 798cc parallel twin. Read the full article »

Video: Ducati Diavel vs. Yamaha V-Max quarter mile race

Super Wheels took two of the finest power cruisers currently available on the market – the brutal Yamaha V-Max and the new Ducati Diavel, and organized a race between them. The V-Max is powered by a huge, 1700cc V4 delivering 200hp and 167Nm of torque. The Japanese bike weighs 310kg. The Italian Diavel is lighter, but it’s 1200cc high-tech Testastretta engine produces „just” 162hp. Which one is faster on the track? Fastest times: Diavel 10"729 (211,0 km/h), V Max 10"521 ( 213,6 km/h). It was close, but the king is still the king. Read the full article »

Blast from the past – Walz Hardcore Cycles TuNero

The TuNero custom motorcycle was built onto the 33 limited editions “WHC Grand Prix Frames” in 2007 by Walz Hardcore Cycles in cooperation with Custom Chrome Europe. The bike features a 96ci RevTech motor with a 6 gear transmission, coated completely in black. The primary transmission is one of the newest WHC component that can be purchased by end users. The valve cover and the camshaft cover of the nearly 1,800ccm large engine are made from the same high quality carbon as the motor covering of the Ferrari customized by Novitec Rosso. Read the full article »

New colors for 2012 Triumph models

British manufacturer Triumph is expanding its model line-up, promising seven new models by the end of 2012. Until then, Triumph refreshed its Modern Classic range. Like the 2012 Street Triple, the Bonneville, Scrambler, America will receive minor cosmetic updates. The Bonneville will be available in gold, the Scrambler (finally) in all matte black, the T100 in two-tone graphite or cherry and the America in two-tone blue and white. Read the full article »

Video: 2012 MV Agusta F4 RR comes with 198 horses

MV Agusta will reveal a new supersport machine for the 2012 model year. The bike, called the F4 RR Corsacorta will be powered by a brand new inline-four producing 198hp (12 more than the standard F4’s engine). This is the first video of the bike, which will hit dealer showrooms this summer, with a price tag of around $30,000. But the new F4 RR isn’t the only newbie in Agusta’s line-up, because the new F3 and its naked sibling, the 675 B3 are also on their way. Read the full article »

Brammo launches six-speed electric motorcycles

Brammo announced today that they entered a strategic partnership with Italian company SMRE. As a part of this agreement, Brammo has acquired an exclusive international license of SMRE's patented Integrated Electric Transmission (IET). IET enables Brammo to offer its electric motorcycles with a 6 speed transmission. The first application of the new IET will be on the Brammo Engage and Encite which are announced today and which will be unveiled prior to competing in the MiniMotoSX race in Las Vegas on Friday, May 6, 2011. Read the full article »
