Various websites reported earlier that Ducati registered the Multistrada S Corse name in the U.S., and motorcycle magazines suggested that there will be a more sportier version of the Multistrada, but the Italian manufacturer said the name was only registered as a back-up in case it couldn’t get the Pikes Peak name. „No, there is no Multistrada 1200 S Corse on the way, it is the Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Special Edition,” said Diego Sgorbati, Director of Marketing at Ducati in Bologna. Do you remember Isaac Chakira, who created the one-off Ducati Monster 848R last week? The designer has now dreamed up another machine based on the KTM 690 Duke R. The concept features the 690 Duke’s wheels and brakes, titanium frame and magnesium swingarm. “I’d really love to see this bike come to reality and frankly speaking I don’t see why it cant become a reality. The MV Agusta Brutale 1078RR is a gorgeous bike on its own designed by Massimo Tamburini. But Moto Corse, the official parts supplier for MV Agusta wanted to improve the Italian machine, so they created the 1133 Evo-CA. The bike features all carbon fibre bodywork, Öhlins forks, TTX shock with aluminium/titanium ride height adjuster, carbon ceramic brakes, and numerous gold-anodized aluminium pieces. Honda has announced that it will be restarting motorcycle production at its Kumamoto factory as of Monday, March 28th. Initially closing all its facilities in Japan after the devastation caused by the Sendai earthquake, Kumamoto will be one of Honda’s first facilities to re-open in almost two weeks’ time. Other factories, such as Sayama, Saitama, and Suzuka facilities will remain closed through April 3rd, and Honda will make a decision on when to restart production at those locations later. These are the first official pictures of Triumph’s 2012 model year Street Triple and Street Triple R. According to French website motocaradisiac, the machine will retain the same technical specifications of the 675cc engine and the chassis, and the only udates to the styling will be the new headlights and small cosmetic changes. Royal Enfield is officially the oldest motorcycle manufacturer in the world that’s still in production. The company started making motorcycles in the UK in the late-1890s, and did well until the 1960’s. The firm closed its UK shop in 1971, but the name didn’t disappear. In 1995, an Indian company managed to buy the right to the Royal Enfield name. Now, the brand is building various versions of the Bullet 350 and the Bullet 500. MV Agusta announced earlier this month that the F3 development advances and the bike will hit showrooms this Fall. The F3 will be powered by a brand new, 675cc engine delivering about 140hp. According to Visordown, some MV Agusta dealers already saw the completed version of the firm’s other bike powered by this engine. German firm Mercedes-Benz and Italian manufacturer Ducati announced their partnerhip last November, which includes sponsorship of the Ducati MotoGP team as well as various marketing opportunities. Now, we can see the first of likely many commercials featuring this partnership.
