To celebrate the opening of its new flagship store in Milan, the Italian firm introduced a larger version of its supermoto and released some information about the Moto Guzzi V7 Racer. The newest member of the brand’s supermoto line features a 1200cc 90-degree V-Twin engine which delivers 130hp at 8700 rpm and 85 ft-lb of torque at 7200 rpm. Aprilia says these numbers are at the top of its class. Rumours have swirled since the introduction of Aprilia's 750cc Dorsoduro back in 2007, that the company plans a larger 1200cc version. It was four almost years ago but we finally got the confirmation of the stronger version, even if in a funny way. The RSV4's V4 engine delivers power more predictable than either an inline-four or a V-twin, but even these properties aren't enough to mask the RSV4's lack of traction control. New rumours suggest the italians will offer soon ABS and traction control system on the RSV4, which isn't a surprise, knowing that Aprilia is developing such packages for the Tuono V4.
