Honda uveiled its new superscooter, the SW-T600 which will compete the Suzuki Burgman and Yamaha T-Max. The new SW-T600 wants to be simply the best available for a maxi scooter, offers the same performance characteristics and comfort of the Silver Wing 600 in a building more compact and dynamic. L ‘SW-T600 boasts an extremely comfortable driving position with seat double-decker only 755 mm from the ground and great wind protection. The load capacity is significant: the tail section allows you to stow well two full-face helmets and there are two rooms in the counter shield, one of well-locked 2.2-liter capacity. Honda has further listened to customers’ desires in the middle-weight class and reintroduced an all-new version of the much-loved CBR600F. In 1987, Honda defined the middleweight sportsbike category with the launch of the CBR600F-H, a bike renowned for its ability to satisfy most riders’ needs, being both sporty in feel and practical in nature. This machine was developed over the years with a number of different ‘versions’ right up to the CBR600F Sport, although the ‘F’ models ceased production in 2006 as customer focus turned more towards the CBR600RR territory. The Japanese brand has finally unveiled its new middleweight adventure bike, the Crossrunner. The machine is fitted with a 782cc V4 engine which delivers 102hp and 54 lbs-ft of torque. „The Crossrunner represents the best aspects of two separate biking genres: the flexibility and exciting attitude of a naked performance machine with the upright riding position and rugged appearance of an adventure bike,” says a press release from Honda. Honda will present the new CBR250R at the EICMA show in Milan next week, but the manufacturer already took the wraps off the model. The much anticipated bike got the design cues of the VFR1200F sports tourer and the CBR1000RR sports bike. The entry-leves CBR is powered by a 4-stroke, 4-valve single-cylinder DOHC engine which delivers 26 hp and 23 Nm of torque. The engine, which meets the Euro-3 emission standards, is a little less powerful than the two-cylinder Kawasaki Ninja 250, but the Honda has more torque. Read the full article »

The EICMA show starts on Monday in Milan, but the japanese manufacturer already released a full design sketch of its mid-range capacity crossover model. The bike combines the CB1000R’s design cues with a smaller version of Honda’s V4 engine. Rumours suggest the machine will use a 800cc engine, along with traction control and engine mapping. Honda continues to release information about its new bike that „will have the flexibility and exciting attitude of a naked performance machine, with the upright riding position and rugged appearance of an adventure bike.”, says the company’s statement. This second sketch shows the front fairing of the bike, which is designed to provide high speed stability while keeping the engine cool. Honda released an official sketch which shows a new adventure bike. The Japanese manufacturer will bring a new 1200cc concept bike to the EICMA show next month, and rumours suggest the new sketch is based on this machine. The concept will most likely to feature the VFR’s 1200cc V4 engine and will have an exclusive, sporty design. If Honda builds a new model with this engine, it will have to be lighter and sportier than the overhyped, heavy VFR. The concept will be shown in the upcoming EICMA show in Milan. Honda reveals new colours for some of its most popular models at the 2010 Intermot show in Cologne. The two new options for the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade include the HRC factory race-inspired tricolour and the stealth looking all graphite black. Similar to it’s bigger brother, the CBR600RR gets the tricolour and graphite black, but there is a new design for the electro generation.
