Paris Hilton’s 125cc MotoGP team’s livery revealed

Paris Hilton already got the attention of the international media after she bought her own MotoGP team. The american billionaire will be present at Hotel ME in Madrid tomorrow, but they already revealed the livery of her SuperMartxé VIP team. This is what Sergio Gadea and Maverick Vinales will be riding next season and I’m pretty sure the two riders aren’t happy in this moment. Aprilia won’t compete in MotoGP

The International Motorcycle Federation (FIM) announced new regulations for the 2012 MotoGP earlier this year, and it seems Aprilia doesn’t like these new engine rules. In 2012, the bikes will be powered by 1000cc engines, and it was believed manufacturers that compete in the WSBK would shift to MotoGP. But appearently, Aprilia won’t do that. Paris Hilton to launch 125cc MotoGP team for 2011

According to MotoGP.com, the American media star is to launch her own MotoGP team. Hilton will join forces with the BQR set-up with riders Sergio Gadea and Maverick Viñales. Called SuperMartxe VIP by Paris Hilton, the team will compete in the 125cc class in 2011. Buy Jorge Lorenzo’s special helmet for €10,000

Fiat Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo crowned his MotoGP World Championship with a win at the final round in Valencia on 7th November, wearing an extremely special version of the X-Lite X-802 helmet. It caused a sensation around the MotoGP paddock and the globe and, to celebrate Jorge’s stunning year, X-Lite will be producing a very limited number of hand-crafted replicas. Video: Ducati Diavel and Mercedes CLS 63 AMG

We already know that Italian motorcycle manufacturer and German automaker have signed a cooperation agreement yesterday at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The partnership means that Mercedes AMG will support the Ducati MotoGP team as the Official Car Partner from 2011. The partners are currently examining the further activities and strategic steps they might undertake together in the near future. Ducati and Mercedes announce partnership

Ducati introduced its new power cruiser, the Diavel in Los Angeles alongside the new Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG, and the head of AMG, Ola Kallanius also took time to announce a new partnership with Ducati. The most important result of the deal is that Mercedes will be official sponsor of Ducati MotoGP team in 2011. Nicky Hayden, one of the team’s rider also attended the event. The Australian rider will get a CLS 63 AMG which produces 518hp and 516 lb.-ft. of torque. Read the full article »

Dainese unveiled the D-Air Racing and Street airbag systems

Dainese presented the long-awaited D-air Racing, which has been in development since 2000 and is due to hit the market in late April / May 2011. D-air Racing has been tested over the last year by newly crowned MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo with team mate Valentino Rossi and also by road racing's lovable rouge Guy Martin. Moto3 rules finally released

The GP Commission has finally announced the details on the upcoming Moto3 class, which will replace the 125cc 2-stroke category in 2012. The new machines will use a four-stroke 250cc single-cylinder engine with an 81mm maximum bore size. The organisers wanted to make the class cheaper than the current entry-level category so teams can only implement limited level of electronics and the engine will have a maximum rpm of 14,000. With multiple manufacturers able to offer engines and chassis for the new class, Moto3 should be more open than the Moto2. Read the full article »

Mercedes AMG to sponsor Ducati in MotoGP?

Mercedes could be the second car company in the MotoGP after Fiat. The The German manufacturer and the Italian motorcycle company have already collaborated together this year’s World Ducati Week where lucky motorcycle fans could try out the brand new Mercedes SLS AMG GT3. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Mercedes could sponsor Ducati with their AMG logo. The Italian sports magazine says the two companies will sign a three-year agreement but there’s no official word from the manufacturers. Read the full article »
