Honda reveals new colours for some of its most popular models at the 2010 Intermot show in Cologne. The two new options for the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade include the HRC factory race-inspired tricolour and the stealth looking all graphite black. Similar to it’s bigger brother, the CBR600RR gets the tricolour and graphite black, but there is a new design for the electro generation. Suzuki unveiled three brand new models today at the Intermot Motorcycle Show in Cologne, Germany, with the iconic GSX-R range getting all-new 600 and 750 models, along with the debut of a new naked middleweight - the GSR750. Unveiled on the Suzuki exhibition stand at 9.00am local time, the new GSX-R600 boasts heightened performance levels thanks to MotoGP inspired development that has seen the new bike shed an impressive nine kilograms over its predecessor, thanks partly to an all-new chassis that has a 15mm shorter wheelbase, as well as Showa Big Piston Forks. After seeing the Agni Z2 and the Citroen Survolt take to the track, here’s another bikes vs. cars comparison video. The BMW S1000 RR is without doubt one of the biggest hit in the supersport category in 2010, while the GT-R even managed to compete on equal terms with Porsche of late. We already know how well the Bimmer against its Japanese and Italian two-wheeler rivals performs, but what about cars? The 2011 ZX-10R will make its debut this October, but the guys at theJapanese manifacturer continue to leak details over the Internet. The BMW S1000 RR made a spectacular entry into the supersport class last year, but the Japanese manufacturers don’t like the idea that the Bavarians steal their customers, so Kawasaki is going to strike back with a strongly revised ZX-10R for 2011. Ducati has released a brief promo video of their new 848 EVO, which will make its debut at this weekends race at Laguna Seca. Honda UK has unveiled two CBR1000 RR Fireblade Special Editions to commemorate the achievements of two legendary Isle of Man TT racers Ian Hutchinson and John McGuinness. The two Fireblades feature a special paintwork and are available in both standard and ABS-equipped versons. Hutchinson broke all record by winning five races at the 2010 Isle of Man TT, while McGuinness has a total number of 15 victories at the dangerous road race. Read the full article »

Japanese manufacturer Suzuki announced today the 2011 GSX 1340 R, alias Hayabusa. For 2011 the ultimate sports bike will get new colours and graphics (Pearl Mirage White wih gold trim and Pearl Nebular Black withred trim). Italian manufacturer Ducati has just released the first images and initial details of its 2011 848 EVO machine that comes to replace the 848 middleweight bike. The engineers have listened to owners and enhanced the bikes specifications. The Testrastetta engine cracks out 140hp now and the torque has increased (from 96NM to 98Nm), too. American motorcycle manufacturer Roehr introduced today three new electric motorcycles. Built around a Hyosung chassis, all three Roehrs look identical and feature AC induction motor technology, with the eSupersport using a single-motor setup, while the eSuperBike and the eSuperBike RR feature twin-motors.
