Kawasaki has released the first picture of the 2011 Ninja ZX-10R. Unfortunately, this is the race version, so we still don't have a clue, how the headlights will look like. According to BMW Motorrad, there are over 40% motorcyclists actively involved in track riding. For this reason the motorcycle arm of BMW decided to launch a new range of special products for use on the race track - the High Performance Race Parts. The first in the range will be the HP Race Cover Kit and the HP Race Power Kit, which will be available from July 2010. Read the full article »

The RSV4's V4 engine delivers power more predictable than either an inline-four or a V-twin, but even these properties aren't enough to mask the RSV4's lack of traction control. New rumours suggest the italians will offer soon ABS and traction control system on the RSV4, which isn't a surprise, knowing that Aprilia is developing such packages for the Tuono V4. With BMW offering ABS and traction control on the S1000 RR and Ducati featuring DTC on the 1198S, Aprilia would be the only manufacturer to offer these features in 2011. Read the full article »
MV Agusta has released the Cannonball Kit for the naked Brutale 1090RR. The italians thought that the maximum output of the most powerful Brutale isn't enough, so they made a few changes on the bike. The Cannonball Kit features new ECU, cylinder head, camshafts, valves and titanium exhaust system. The kit raises horsepower by 21 for a new total of 165. Read the full article »

Remember this video from the spring? BMW showed a trick with its supersport machine S1000 RR, a table and some dishes. Aprilia has now released an official response to that. The italians are clearly poking BMW in the eye with this video, in which their motto is: "Tricks are not our talent. Winning is. With the BMW S1000 RR the japanese manufacturers got a new, serious competitor in the superbike category so it's no news that Kawasaki will completely redesign its ZX-10R for 2011. The new bike will feature an all-new engine, chassis and suspension with a complete styling makeover. Rumours suggest the four-cylinder engine will be capable of 190 hp, so the bike will be insanely fast. Looks good on the video but the main question is: does it handle better than the 2010 version? Ferrari and Ducati are tied together in more than one ways, so it doesn't bother Ferrari that the motorcycle manufacturer gave him a Desmosedici RR with personaized paint job that’s a mix between the Ferrari and Ducati liveries. Alonso's bike, numbered 1175 of an exclusive run of 1500 machines, was recently handed over to the former F1 champion.
