Brembo to supply Suzuki brakes

Brembo and Suzuki signed a three-year new agreement that sees the Italian company supplying Suzuki with brake calipers for its GSX-R line. The two companies are already cooperating in the MotoGP for years. With this agreement, Brembo reconfirms its position as one of the favourite suppliers of the big motorcycle manufacturers. This list is quite impressive: Aprilia, BMW, BRP-Bombardier Recreational Products, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Husqvarna, KTM, Moto Guzzi, MV Augusta, Piaggio, Triumph and Yamaha. Read the full article »

2011 Suzuki GSX1250FA confirmed for America

The North American division of Suzuki has announced the arrival of the 2011 GSX1250FA for its 2011 lineup. The fully-faired version of the Bandit features a liquid-cooled 1255cc inline-four which produces 98hp at 7500rpm and 108Nm at 3700rpm. The GSX1250FA offers sporty, aggressive styling courtesy of its full body fairing and stacked headlight assembly, which was also incorporated into the GSX-R sportbike models. Read the full article »

Suzuki unveiled the 2011 GSX-R600, the GSX-R750 and the GSR750

Suzuki unveiled three brand new models today at the Intermot Motorcycle Show in Cologne, Germany, with the iconic GSX-R range getting all-new 600 and 750 models, along with the debut of a new naked middleweight - the GSR750. Unveiled on the Suzuki exhibition stand at 9.00am local time, the new GSX-R600 boasts heightened performance levels thanks to MotoGP inspired development that has seen the new bike shed an impressive nine kilograms over its predecessor, thanks partly to an all-new chassis that has a 15mm shorter wheelbase, as well as Showa Big Piston Forks. Read the full article »

Suzuki develops e-Let’s electric scooter

The Japanese manufacturer has completed a prototype of an electric scooter named the e-Let’s and has begun studying its operation on public roads in Japan. Suzuki was able to begin the on-road trials after registering the e-Let’s as a moped with the local authorities on 21st September and obtaining a number plate for it. Suzuki plans to use the resulting data in development efforts aimed at creating a production model. The e-Let’s is based on a petrol-engine scooter called the Let’s4 basket. Read the full article »

2011 Suzuki GSR 750 official teaser photo released

The Japanese manufacturer has released a single official illustration of the new GSR 750, a stylish naked middleweight bike that will make its debut in just three weeks. The new model will use a slightly detuned version of the company’s GSX-R 750’s engine. Besides the detuned engine, the bike will miss out the GSX-R 750’s radial-mount brake calipers, and most of the chassis will probably be pared back to meet lower price point. The bodywork and tank design is largely angular, providing the bike an agressive image. Read the full article »

Suzuki Hayabusa gets air suspension

Platinum Air Suspension has introduced a new air ride technology for Suzuki Hayabusa. The system allows riders to set the rebound and ride height of their bike. The adjustment, which uses the company’s BLEED FEED technology, is made by the flip of a switch. "We feel it is critical not to compromise handling and full suspension movement when adjusting the ride height of a high performance motorcycle like the Suzuki Hayabusa," said Mike Ferris, owner of Platinum Air Suspension. Read the full article »

Suzuki India launches 125cc street touring machine

The Indian arm of Suzuki has introduced the brand new 125cc Slingshot, a smaller street touring machine. The bike was inspired by the GSX-R series and is targeted at the mass segment. The SlingShot features a sharp design and a simple 125cc engine with carburettor. The bike is available in four colours (Metallic Mustard Yellow, Metallic Fox Orange, Candy Antares Red and Pearl Nebular Black) and it is priced at Rs. 50,949 (approx. $1,085 at the current exchange rate). Read the full article »

Suzuki launches V-Strom 650 Xpedition

Suzuki’s popular V-Strom 650 range sees the arrival of a new flagship model this month, with the introduction of the V-Strom 650 Xpedition. The new model is based on the V-Strom 650 ABS-equipped model, but the adventurer got a lot of additions. Suzuki introduced the new 2011 M109R/Boulevard

Japanese manufacturer Suzuki has announced the first wave of 2011 motorcycles, including the leader of the power-cruiser category, the M109 R Boulevard. The 2011 M109 R and M109 R Limited Edition got a few cosmetic touch-ups, like a new instrument cluster with a digital tach and LED indicator light, a gear position indicator, and the relocation of the cluster from the handlebars to the top of the headlight cowl.
