British manufacturer Triumph has rolled out its 500,000th bike since its rebirth in 1990, which was restarted with the purchase of the firm by John Bloor. The 500,000th bike is a 2011 Speed Triple. To celebrate the special occasion, they are sending the special Speed Triple and UK comic Ross Noble on a 7-day tour of the British Isles, which is to be twitter-broadcasted. British manufacturer Triumph is expanding its model line-up, promising seven new models by the end of 2012. Until then, Triumph refreshed its Modern Classic range. Like the 2012 Street Triple, the Bonneville, Scrambler, America will receive minor cosmetic updates. The Bonneville will be available in gold, the Scrambler (finally) in all matte black, the T100 in two-tone graphite or cherry and the America in two-tone blue and white. Read the full article »

In true Touratech fashion, their designers have come up with a long list of protection and guards, auxiliary lighting, ergonomic enhancements, aluminum pannier systems, tank & tail bags, navigation, and more, most of which, will hit the U.S. shore before the Tiger 800 motorcycles arrive. Rizoma has developed a complete kit to the Queen of naked bikes, the new Triumph Speed triple 1050. The most effective components are a mix of risers/handlebars/grips, levers, mirrors, which change completely the „dashboard” look. There are new high-tech EVO rearsets which are perfectly integrated into the frame and allow eight different adjustment options. According to the latest reviews, the 2011 Daytona 675 R is the Triumph of 2011. For an extra $1,496, you get Öhlins suspension parts, Brembo brakes and standard quick-shifter. It gets its power from a water-cooled 674cc in-line three-cylinder engine, that claims an output of 124 bhp at 12600 rpm and 53 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 11,700 rpm. Other circuit-spec highlights include comprehensive instruments that incorporate a lap timer, and carbon fiber parts – including hugger, silencer heat shield, front mudguard and fairing infill panels. These are the first official pictures of Triumph’s 2012 model year Street Triple and Street Triple R. According to French website motocaradisiac, the machine will retain the same technical specifications of the 675cc engine and the chassis, and the only udates to the styling will be the new headlights and small cosmetic changes. MA Product design students at the Birmingham Institute of Art & Design have produced a collection of prototype accessories. Students have drawn inspiration from the Triumph Bonneville T100. The collection of 18 alternative lifestyle „accessories”were judged by a team from Triumph. Following their deliberations the judges chose British student, Nick Orme’s, ‘Corkscrew’, incorporating a brake lever assembly, as the winning prototype design awarding him a placement at Triumph. Three months ago, Triumph introduced the new Thunderbird Storm, and now we have new pictures of the bike. The Storm is eventually the dechromed, stripped down version of the Thunderbird. Triumph's iconic twin headlights, made famous on the Rocket III and Speed Triple models, and drag bars perfectly fit this street rod’s aggressive nature and are complemented by the deep metallic paint.
